Ack..I don't have any good names for titles.

Alright...I have tons (and I mean tons) to say...but let's start from this Friday.

Friday was actually better than I thought it would be. Of course, mom stayed home bcuz she wants to finish off a lot of the things for the arangetram on Fridays, so she works 10 hours a day (or so she says... :) ). Anyways, as always, I had to practice dance in front of her, and for some reason, I did a lot better than I thought I would...it being a Friday and all. Even my thillana was a lot better than I expected. So, all in all, my mom was happy, therefore, I was too.

Saturday was really hectic. Turns out that I didn't have to go to Maya Aunty's house anyways, so I was happy. But I had to go to Nagesh Uncle's house for something that I can't say until after the arangetram. So, Manoj and I went there and we had a complete blast. Somehow, I managed to mess up Nagesh Uncle's computer program. Trust me, I don't even know how as of yet. I was editing some stuff, and all of a sudden the comp screen just does something wierd and when it comes back to normal, BAM!!! I can't see the some of the computer program. So, I called Nagesh Uncle and he went up to see what he could do. Turns out that all he had to do was save the thing, then restart his computer...it worked then. Now, I'm kinda his assistant in the sense that he sent me stuff to do and send to him over the week...as soon as I finish. Hope i get paid...j/k. Nagesh Uncle was the videographer for Prashanti's arangetram, so he had to go there 2.5 hours early. Obviously, we went with him as my parents were already there and were probably waiting for us. So, on the way to CCA, Nagesh uncle tells me that I can put down the visor, and I was like, yea, whatever. So, when I was about to pull it down I realized that there was no visor. Apparently, his cuzin had pulled it off by accident...lol. Then, we realized that the packet of cassettes that he had bought hadn't been open, so we opened it...with a pen. the dumb thing blasted all over my shirt becuz the ball of it popped off...lol

We finally reached CCA and i met my mom at the lobby...personally, I thought the lobby was too crowded becuz they had tons of stuff there. But hey, it still looked good. I went backstage to find Prashanti while my parents brought me her present and saw her with Urvi aunty and THuls. Almost all her makeup was on and, personally, I thought she looked like a ghost...that's how much foundation she had on. SCARY!!! Well, of course, Thuls, Prash, and I chatted while she dressed up(here's a pic) ...and then we watched her (now she's all dressed up :) ). I felt so bad tho, becuz during the whole performace we were criticizing her. Like, she needed to keep her elbows up and when leaning toward the side, she would also lean forward. Also, she needed to open her alapadma (a hand gesture). Yeah, I did it again. Whatever. Anyways, she still did good. At the end of may (when I last saw her) she would forget the dances that she was supposed to be doing for her aragetram that we learned in the group class, which was a bad idea. Anyways, she didn't do very badly. One thing that was there was that they took off 3 stanzas of 'Shankara Sree Giri', which is one of my dances...wierd!
Then we went to India Gate...and I decided to be a pig (not surprising, huh?) and ate 2 nan and some seasoned fried rice!

Today was just plain old boring. All I did was dance...altho I got up
at only 11:00. Awesome stuff. Yeah, then we went shopping. I got a pair of shoes and so did my dad and my bro. I also got a new watch and I'm so glad my dad's letting me buy a digi camera. Yay!!!! Then we had food (My bro and I had Panda Express while our parents had from Cajun Grill). I prolly gained like 3 pounds. Then we went to big lots and bought some school stuff for me and some other dance stuff.

Yeah, so now I gotta go. This as long as I can write since my fingers ache from trying to get my 'P' button to work...and also the backspace and the home button...stupid laptop.

Alright...To get started

Ok, then...Well, this is my first post on blogspot, but that's all cool. As most of my friends know, I'm not responsible enough to post everyday, so I won't have continuous postings. yep. That's me.

Just a quick note: Today in the story below means Wednesday, just for reference.

So, my plans for this weekend. I'm already starting to dread it. Apparently, I have to go to Maya aunt's house for her baby boy's 28th day thing on Saturday. And that's in the morning. Here's my dilemma: should I wear a Punjabi dress and go, or a Kurt and jeans? If you're wondering why I'm stuck here, it is because I have to go and help my friend, Prashanti, at her arangetram that same day...in evening though. And I'll probably have to leave from Maya aunt's house to CCA (chandler center for the arts). So, we have to be there by 11:30 and stay until a long time. Her arangetram starts at 4:30, so it will only end by 8. Then they've invited us to the reception, so I'll be there longer. Don't get me wrong. It's not like I don't like Prashanti or anything but last time, when I helped at Sanju's arangetram, all I did was help her change during the program, and before it, put out all the jewelry and things. Wow, what a bore!!!! I'm anticipating that that's not what's gonna happen at Prash's 'cuz her mom and my mom are like best dance-mom friends...lol, luv the new name. And I kno that for that day, I'm wearing my peach and tan colored choli. WOHOO!!!!

Alright, done with my almost fully planned weekend. Now to this week. My luck actually changed from yesterday. But lemme actually start from the beginning. Last weekend, there was a bhajana at Geetha Aunty's house. Obviously, I went with my family and had loads of fun. But the story starts after the bhajana was over, the men were playing cards and it was only Trupti and I left...and my mom and Geetha Aunty. I told Tru that I wanted a digi camera, but I didn't kno if my parents would lemme have it. I asked my mom then, if I could have a digi camera for exceeding 2 of my AIMS and being short by just a couple of points for exceeding in the Critical reading section. And she said yes, and I rejoiced. I was completely and utterly elated at that unexpected answer. So, then on Monday, I realized that I had forgotten to ask her what here budget was for the camera. I asked her when she came back and she said 100$. I was like crap, that's not gonna get me a good camera. But then, my dad's like, what are you talking about? Why is she getting a camera? And even if she is, she's not getting one that more than 39$. I was so pissed. But still, I tried to get my dad to change his mind. I looked up some cameras that I might have liked, but the only cameras I like were 200$+. So, I went up on e-bay to look at the camera I wanted. There, I found one for 222.50$, which was 76,50$ less than at Costco, which had the least that I had looked up. So I told my dad, and he was still like no. So, then all day yesterday and today I refused to completely talk to him and ignored him as much as I could. My brother became the mediator if my dad wanted anything from me...lol. Anyways, so, I went swimming today, and I decided that I would pursue the subject with my mom, who still promised me 102$ this time. When my dad still said no, I personally think that, when they went to go and walk while we swam, my mom persuaded my dad to buy me the camera bcuz when they came back, he asked my what the camera was like. I described it to him, and, if you can believe it, HE AGREED!!!!!! WOHOOO!!!! OH YEAH. I was so happy. But I might not be able to get it until later 'cuz we have to go to the casio store first to see if their price was higher or lower than Costco's. YAY!!! I'm sooooooooooooooooooooooooo happy! And I thank my mom for this...altho I had to give up my 16th b-day gift for the camera.

Yeah, so I think I wrote a lot already, for a first post, so I think I'm done.

By the way, if anyone is wondering what I was doing up so late, I was just bored and decided that I would write some stuff in my xanga and then, I really don't kno why, signed up here and wrote my first entry.
